If you, the host, disconnect from the game then the game will still carry on. This box contains all the items they picked up during their adventure. When a client disconnects from the game session, they will disappear and a box will be left behind in their place. If you saved a session as 'OurPlaythrough' but don't choose that name for your saves at the multi-user access window then they will NOT appear when trying to load a previous session. If you're going to load a save, make sure you choose the right 'name' from your saved games. You can still type messages to each other when the game is paused by pressing whichever key is assigned as the 'Chat' key in your key configuration. When either the host or a client pauses the game, it affects everyone in that current game until that player unpauses the game. Multiplayer saves will not be seen in Single Player mode and vice versa. Absolutely without aq doubt the original textures. Here are some things you should know about Saving and Loading in Multiplayer: When a game is saved in Multiplayer Mode, it will be stored in a folder in your System Shock 2 Directory and can only be loaded in Multiplayer Mode from a unique save selection screen. I checked boxes, camera controls, the help stuff, vases, everything. When I installed it manually twice once it wouldn't boot up and the second it just wasn't working.

But I'd rather not have another program on my computer anyway. I left it open for an hour and tried again and still no luck.

I don't have problems with the installation in terms of messing it up or not knowing what to do. It's not recommended to mess around files manually, especially if you have difficulties setting the game up even with the automated tools, which were designed to be as user friendly as possible. If you are sure it's not active, try again from square one - make a clean install of the game, patch it up with SS2tool, and load the mod as instructed in the guide (it's literally three steps/clicks, it's pretty much impossible to mess it up as long as you read it properly). if you can read "welcome to globalcom", SHTUP is active. Originally posted by ps47.3dfx:ok, first, SHTUP is not a hd texture pack by any means, so the difference might not be as obvious at the first glance - a good way of checking is starting a new game, going to the nearest phone booth and seeing if you can read the text.
